Shade Base Stain

Problem / Question

The Shade Base Stain moves on the surface of the pressed ceramic.

Cause (1)

Baking temperature of the shade base stain is too low.

Bake according to the baking schedule in the manual. Ensure that the surface has the slight glossiness after the first and second baking. If there is no glossiness, check and adjust the baking temperature.

Cause (2)

The thickness of the press ceramic is not sufficient.

Adjust the thickness according to the manual. The thickness should be more than 0.8mm.

Pressing time is too long.

Observe the specified pressing time.

Pressing temperature is too high.

Problem / Question

The shade base stain cannot be applied evenly.

Cause (1)

IS (Internal Stain) liquid has not been used.

Solution / Answer (1)

Using IS liquid, mix with CZR Press Shade base stain to create a "maple syrup-like" paste.

Cause (2)

The framework has not been sandblasted.

Solution / Answer (2)

Make the framework matt-finish by alumina sandblasting. (Pressure 0.3MPa = 44psi)

Cause (3)

The framework has not been cleaned.

Solution / Answer (3)

Clean the framework for 5 minutes in an acetone solution using an ultrasonic cleaner to remove the grease by hand.

Cause (4)

Water has been used for cleaning of the application brush.

Solution / Answer (4)

IS liquid cannot be mixed with water. Be sure to use IS liquid for cleaning.
